I was wondering if there were any games that took advantage of the 360's Chatpad for in game functions similar to the Jaguar's numeric pad?
It would be awesome to be able to map a short cut to the Chatpad for things like weapons and potions in an Action RPG. Or select different groups in an RTS and map them to the keypad to instantly switch between them.
So are there any games that utilize the Chatpad in this way or is it just wishful thinking?

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and its retail version, Game Time, use it to input text for the Million Dollar Question...but I don't think there are any that support the Chatpad like that, and I don't think that support's possible currently.

I am pretty sure there are some Community/Indie games that use it for something but I don't remember which ones or for what purpose.

The chatpad also works with anything that uses the standard Xbox message entry, which you've probably seen many times when naming characters in RPG's and such. Much easier and quicker than using the on-screen keyboard.

I think its only "mapped" on Indie games. Its basic function was for message entry or replacement of the keyboard.

Let's hope Microsoft's Game Room service will remember this exist when that launches.
Would be beneficial for things like the menus in Intellivision games (Although I would hope buttons used in gameplay would just be mapped to normal buttons on the controller), Star Raiders from the Atari 2600, etc.
