My Target has the Target Edition of this game for the 360 clearanced down to $10 right now and I was thinking of getting it. I checked ebay, and this game consistently goes for under $15 brand new. So, is this a truly terrible game, or is it that there isn't much demand for SSX-type games anymore?

Just curious before I lay out the $10.

my friend bought it at target for ps3, and he said its the worst game he ever played in his life. He said he thought it had to be worth at least the $7.99 he paid, but said he quit playing after 15 minutes.

I've heard that the Wii version is actually pretty good and works great with balance board. Haven't tried it yet myself though.

The Wii version is a different game, and is great!

At $10, its worth trying out for yourself. I've played it, I enjoyed it. A friend of mine played it, and he loved it. 2-3 other friends of mine hated it. Its not for everyone, but its fun.

I haven't played it but I don't remember hearing anything really bad about it.

Also what is the target edition?

Target edition has special packaging and apparently some exclusive in-game content, like hills or equipment you can buy.

I got it day after thanksgiving for $7.99 and played it for 20min. Controls are not the best. graphics are okay. Its not like the SSX series. Have not played it since.

I actually really like Shawn White on the 360. I don't have the target edition, i have the original. Not sure whats the difference though.

I like the 360 version much more than the Wii version with a balance board.

It can't be any worse than this:

I'm a little iffy on games that are based on a semi-famous athlete ( Shaun White is my homie, though ). It would be a blow that these developers have spent all this time to make a $15 game. Ah, I guess they're saying the big bats, for a "major" title.

I haven't tried the 360 version, I agree that the Wii version is pretty good. My brother got that game at the same time that he got Wii Fit, and the motion controls with the balance board seem pretty solid. I haven't played it much, but it's not my type of game to begin with.

+1. I have it and while i haven't played in a while, it does make sense with the balance board. Damn hard trying to stop yourself jumping on it though!

The Target version has an exclusive mountain with its own races, etc.

I have the game for PS3 and the snowboarding aspects are okay, but the open-world part sucks. You spend way too much time wandering around and it gets boring.

On the grand scale of bad games, this is nowhere close to the bottom, but I much prefer the SSX games.

I bought it for $20 a little while back during the buy 2 get 1 free at TRU, started it a few weeks back and it seems pretty fun so far, again only put about a hour into it but of what I played I really enjoyed.

At my Target, it's now down to $7.48 and dropping. They have so many copies that I think I'll wait until the next drop, which would put it to $4.

I saw that Shaun White Road Trip (Wii) was on clearance at Target for $14. I immediately grabbed it, since I was interested, anyway. I think Target is just clearing shelf space to make way for newer product. It has no bearing on the quality of the games, because this is an excellent snowboarding game with very elegant controls.
