Hi guys.

I got myself a really nice 7800 yesterday with all the cables and whatnot. It also came with 8 2600 games and I think all of them except 3 work properly. The ones that don't work are Spiderman, Kung-Fu Master and Enduro. When I plug them in and turn the system on the game shows normally but I can't start them no matter how much I mash the control pad or use the select switch on the console. Is this just because I need to clean the carts or could this be something else?

The reason I sound like a N00B is because I really am an Atari N00B. I'll probably be back here with a lot more questions!

Cheers

Were those the only games not officially made by Atari that you got? If so that may just be the reason. The other two reasons that may be causing your problems are incompatibility with the 7800 controller or incompatibility with the 7800.

If you have a Genesis controller or 2600 controller try it with that.

Thanks stonic! I would never have guessed that the reset button would start the games. Cheers! I guess the question is now defunct, but this is a list of the games I got.

-Enduro
-Kung-Fu Master
-Spider Man
-Pac-Man (the crap one)
-Ms. Pac-MAN
-Q*bert
-Centipede
-Mario Bros
