sega genesis video rolling on rear projection hdtv

I decided to move my genesis in my living room and play it on my rear projection hdtv but when I turn it on the screen keeps rolling. I hooked it up through A/V cables first and then used my rf cable and it is doing the same thing. I have also used a different sega genesis, a yobo 3 in one clone system and it does the same thing. I have been scratching my head on this and was wondering if there was any way to fix this.
