I'm looking at getting a run of mb microvision lcd's made because screen rot is so dreadfully common in these systems and replacements are not currently available.

I'm assuming I would need to get a run of them made to get the price down to something reasonable.

I'm interested to know who would be interested in purchasing one and what would you be willing to pay for it?

I wouldn't pay more than 1/2 what a working mv goes for, personally. Unless there was exceptional clarity or something like that. Has anyone tried using an array of surface mount type LEDs?

leds require much higher current, you'd need to make a driver pcb as well, and unless you can find square leds the same size as the pixels it would look fairly poor..

what's a microvision worth atm?

i would be interested and would pay roughly 20 dollars for one... assuming it is somewhat easy to install

On one hand I'm surprised you could get them made cheap enough to even be able to ask... And I'm with Chris in thinking ease of install may be a deal-breaker if too complex... But may I say, what an odd yet interesting hobbyist project.
