Bought a 1986 JCPenny TV that had this input:

Is it possible to adapt this for Scart input?

I have one of those on one of my TVs. Never got around to figuring out how to get it working. I believe it's called an EIAJ 8-pin connector. Good luck.

Did you get that on craigslist? I saw one a little while back and that RGB jack intrigued me.

St. Vinnies. 10 bucks. I didn't really think when i bought it. It wasnt until i got home with it that i realized it wasnt a scart port. I remember seeing this port on some monitors when I took a TV production class in college. Now I have this tv and want to use that port. either that or get rid of it.

From the way it looks i either need a cable made or make one myself. I can't seem to find one. Im also not sure of the audio input from this port either. From the schematics ive seen i CAN get rgb to it.

But anyway, that's why i need help. If there is a way to get or make a cord, I need to know.

Okay, I'm not going to screw with something I don't know of. If anyone can direct me to how i can adapt this i'd apreciate it.

EIAJ 8 Pin jacks are found on old VTR decks and receiver/monitors. 8 pin to 8 pin cables allowed convenient connection for off the air recording since old VTR's don't usually have built in tuners and required being connected to a separate TV receiver / monitor.

Found this on here : http://www.labguysworld.com/Connectors.htm

Hope this helps somehow.
