I just wanted to say that I've finally found a video game vlog that I absolutely love, called Chrontendo (which has been around since 2007). His approach is simple: document every single game ever released, in chronological order (i.e. by release date), for the Famicom/Disk System/NES. He cites our very own Mezrabad's excellent video gaming blog, Chronogamer, as his inspiration, as opposed to the Angry Video Game Nerd, which seems to be everyone else's. That should tell you something right there (i.e. sorry kiddies, this one's for the adults!).
Unlike every other gaming vlog that I've ever seen, it doesn't take that typical condescending, insulting and yelling approach that I find so very annoying. Rather, his commentary is calm, even, measured, and intelligent. He researches the background of each game thoroughly and continually makes astute and insightful observations. It's quite interesting and I feel it's become the definitive historical archive of the Famicom oeuvre. He's even started a sister series, Chronsega, which runs parallel with the same timeframe as Chrontendo, and he intends to start a third, Chronturbo, which will start when the other two reach the right point in history.
Give it a try!
