I hated that. The controls sucked and the sound/gameplay was all screwy - it was a rewritten game that tried to look like the NES original.

Depending on when you played it, they updated the controls, version 1.5 is much more controllable.

This was last year - will check it out. I've showed it to a few people as an example of a great game being screwed by a horrid port.

Go figure, I paid full price. It's not a terrible port seeing as how it is on the iPhone, but I does play a bit weird. Playing it in landscape mode is much easier than the fake arcade console in normal mode.

However, after growing up with the original, it does take a bit to get used to.

It's a good time killer when I'm sitting someplace waiting, and I don't have my PSP.
