South Jersey Classic - Saturday February 13th

BIG UPDATE...READ FIRST:

Snow destroyed our area last Saturday so now the gathering is this coming Saturday, the 13th. Hopefully we don't get snowed out again. BTW, the sale planned for this past weekend is also moving to this weekend so still bring monies ;)


This gathering's theme will be all about those music games. Instead of picking one game or one genre we will be mixing it up with some classics and some interesting choices. Below is a rough order of events planned for the day with a few surprises only to be revealed at the correct time.

(Round robin tourney with Taiko Drum Master as grand prize)

Secret Tournament

After close:

Karaoke Tournament (not sure which game yet)

In addition to those, other games will be placed throughout the day. Below you will find a donation list for some of the items we need.

There is a strong chance i can make this one. I'm interested in fighting and shumping. Now that there is a store 360, perhaps some decent rounds of XII can be played. Skyshark on the rombox, and GoldenAxe The Duel for Saturn are my other druthers. If anyone has Mushihimesama for 360 please bring it. Otherwise, maybe we could hack into JXBLA and demo some other shumps. . . I'll bring a monitor to use for 360 hd gaming if there is enough (read: any) interest.

Ok...the weather updates seem to be all over the place. Here's the deal, the snow might miss us, but it might not. So we are going to play this one by ear. If we get hit hard I probably won't even be open let alone have the gathering...but if we only get like 2 inches we'll definitely be here. Best bet is to call the store around 11-11:30 on Saturday to see if I'm here :)

This SJC was fucking hot cakes! I had a blast the whole day and regret leaving a little early, but I was pretty tired. I'm excited for next month, which is only a couple weeks away and I just hope next time we aren't all haunted/grossed out by the strange scent of maple syrup.

I think College Slam (SNES, Gen or Saturn) would be more appropriate, fun and time friendly. Plus I know Baloo wanted to do a NBA Jam tourney so this can take it's place since it's basically the same game.

I visited that store a few years ago, it's pretty small. Beyond that, it was always a tad too far for me to drive down for one of these events, esp. with NAVA at DP like 25 minutes away from me.
