Nightmare on Elm Street Nes help

I'm at the high school stage and I can't seem to figure out a pattern for jumping long enough from the second lower platorm back to the first, after collecting the 2nd bone on that stage. I tried jumping from different areas , on the tip of platorm in the middle extra to get longer jumps, but I always fall. I've made it couple times, usually when I'm invisible right after I die, but I still can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone help out?

have you tried turning into the dream warriors? i believe two of them jumped higher/further. i beat the game years ago but I don't remeber any dificult jumps like that.

You can only turn into the dream warriors when you are battling the bosses unless I never pressed the select buttom when collecting bones. Can you ??
