I'm planning on buying this very soon, but every auction I see does not include the spine card.
Did this come with a spine card?
I'm not sure if it was sold as standalone game only, You normally see them as boxsets with the 4M Ram cart which had no spinecard as the barcode was on the back of the box.

That's what I thought. Due to it being in a box, no spine card was included.

It saw two releases, one boxed with the required 4MB expansion cartridge as the auction Kron linked to shows and a standalone normal release, which came with registration card and spine.
As I've seen, the standalone is somewhat uncommon for XvSF compared to other Capcom Saturn expansion related fare. I found a copy with spine about 3 years ago, took me a little while to find it too.

I have both versions. The bundled version doesn't have a back cover either, due to it being on the outer cardboard box.

Yeah, the one in the box is in a clear case with just a manual inside.
