I could just give you the link (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=296262) to the thread, but i'll just copy everything here...

I'm looking for a particular game for years now
But i can't find it :(
I think it's from between 1994-1996, it's in 2d topview and it is a Tron light cycle kinda game.
It uses cars instead of cycles, but i'm not sure, maybe you could select what you were...
It had HUGE levels, so it was scrolling, the levels looked like a big grid with grey squares.
You could fire a rocket using spacebar and you could go faster (afterburner?) using shift.
You could use the rockets to shoot holes in the cycle "tails" to go throu it, and you could even shoot holes in the edge of the level. Or you could use the rockets to shoot the other players dead in one shot. The explosions were like this:

+
+++
+

Kinda + shaped.

The movement controls were:
cursor left = move to left of screen
cursor right = move to right of screen
cursor up = move to top of screen
cursor down = move to lower of screen

I'm not really sure if you died if you tried to move into the opposite direction you were moving at.
The colors of the game had orage, grey and red in it.
It had trance/hardcore music. (not sure)
Sounds were pretty good.
I only had the shareware version so i don't know what was in the full version.

AI/multiplayer stuff:

You could play with maximum of 10 human/computer players. (not really sure)
If you was playing with friends it was splitscreen, up to 10 little screens. (not sure about the number)
The AI was GREAT, very hard to beat, there were multiple difficulty levels.
One game could take more then an hour because the levels were so big and because it was very very very addictive.
The size of the game was about 1-2 mb i think.

I think i just wrote everything i can remember about the game.
Oh, and the game name had a weird letter in it i think, a Q or X maybe.

Does someone know this game or has some clues on where to find it? I would appriciate it alot.

Go look on the vaporware websites (rings). They have tons of older DOS games for DL.

I think the problem is that he doesn't know what he's looking for. I can't help, it doesn't ring a bell at all, but you'd think one of the gaming vets here could at least identify the game.

Maybe?
