I just had to say that what you are doing is awesome. Many new gamers probably have no idea who he is. I remember loving his music back in the early 90's when he just got started. He CHANGED video game music. Thanks! 8-)

Thanks, we greatly appreciate the compliments! Tommy is one of the coolest guys I have ever had the privalege to meet. He is very down to earth and has no ego what so ever. Being a fan of his music, have you ever heard his Greatest Hits CD from back in the day? I love his music to Advent Rising and Earthworm Jim. Have you ever been to one of his Video Games Live shows?

I have not heard the Greatest Hits CD unfortunetly. I do recall hearing a lot about him back in the day in magazines and such. I also recall he made the music for Terminator on the Sega CD. The music in that game is just stunning. I really like the techno music he composed as well. He sounds like a really cool guy in the interview. I am happy to see that he is doing well. I would have never in my dreams as a child thought that I would be this near and close to him (as in speaking to someone about him that has actually spoke to him). Judging from the amount of replies in this thread, not too many people seem to care about the interview, which is pretty sad considering he changed the way video game music is produced.

I have not been to any of his shows.. does he still perform? Would be great if he came to Vegas one day.

Also, I found it cool that Sega called him to make some of the tracks on their new Sonic in 09'. It's good to see that he's not been forgotten. He is truly a video game legend.

I listened to part 1 and will go through the next 3 parts later today, but that is very cool.

I will eventually be in the industry, I just have to finish my first game I working on, hehehe

I like listening to stories about how people got their start in the industry. That is definately the highlight of the interview for me

It's an awesome CD, he has released a couple with his works on it. He's great! If you ever get the chance to run into him in person, he will totally chat with ya about video games. I would love to get more people involved on here to hear what they have to say about Tommy and his music, so let's here it every one =D

Tommy just got done touring overseas but is gearing up for 2010 shows. There has not been an official date set yet, but Video Games Live will totally be coming to Vegas this year. Check this out for all of Tommy's upcoming tours: http://www.videogameslive.com/index.php?s=dates

Damn, I just checked out that video games live link. Vegas is still TBA, so I book marked it and will check often. I will get a few of my gaming buddies to go, they'll get a kick out of it. Sounds awesome!!! Maybe I can show up really early and meet Tommy myself. Hey you should try to convince him to join Digital Press! ;)
