Is there any difference in rarity/value between the Atari CX2600 (6 switch), and the Atari CX2600A (4 switch)? I recently obtained one of each and was wondering which was the more rare/valuable of the two, if there's a difference at all.

The 4-switch 2600 systems, whether it be the woodgrain or black "Vader" models, are far more common than 6 switch 2600 systems. That's not to say that they're worth much more, though. The rarest of the 2600 systems is the original 1977 "heavy" six switch system that was manufactured in Sunnyvale, CA. There is also a "light" six switch system that was built overseas. If you are wanting a 2600 to keep around, I'd recommend a 6 switch system over a 4 switch. The 4 switch models had a lot of issues with static buildup frying internal components and other good stuff like that.

The heavy six switch version is definitely more sought after and a bit more valuable than the rest. Otherwise I would say they are all worth about the same.

Yeah, it's not a heavy six, just a regular one. I already have another six switch one in the house, I just bought the other two to sell or trade becuse I got a really good deal. Thanks for your help!
