I've been building a collection anyway, might as well cash in. They're selling 100 and 200 yen games for $80 each.

a lot of Neo CD games can be bought on ebay for less than $10 shipping included. So i can understand the OP's excitement. ;)

Here's an example of Neo Geo CD stock.

https://www.gamebancho.jp/bancho/CategoryList.html?method=search&fromNo=0&category_code=100&sub_category_code=022&new_flag=0&keyWord=

Go down the list some and you'll find a bunch of games for less than $5. If you know how to shop around though you can find them way cheaper.

It's kind of sad to me that people use ebay to buy imports because they don't know enough Japanese to do it any other way.

A general rule of thumb is that import games on ebay go for 3-4 times the price they sell for in Japan.

So buy a plane ticket and go to Japan. I'm sure the average person that does this will have no problem finding all sorts of tested and in good condition 100-200yen Neo Geo CD games.

Oh take your time. Use Google if you have to.
I'll be buying some cheap games in the meantime, from the comfort of my American home. 8-)

You were implying that lots of NGCD games go for 100-200yen in Japan. That's utter BS once you get past the Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, KoF and other common games.

If I wanted tons of copies of KoF '94 or Fatal Fury 3 it's no problem. http://www.rakuten.co.jp/ to the rescue.

You're right! They go up from 200 to about 1000 for the majority of games.

Have fun on your rakuten. Maybe you can find some more games to sell for 50 bucks or however much you were selling them for.

How does less than 26% of games equal "the majority of games". Did you learn some new kind of math in your masters degree courses?

I've regularly sell NGCD system lots in the $100 range, give or take $20 or so depending. You are the ONLY person who's ever been an ass about it.

Any more lies, false accusations or racist comments you want to come up with?

Have fun? I thought this was about the 2k monies and calling forth the flames trolls love to shower in... Fun does not apply!

At least be a decent semi-classy person, take the store to the cleaners, if you can, but STFU about it. It serves you no purpose, other than practically screaming in public, "Hey everyone, I took some people for their money! You may all bow now... Awesome huh?" You're not the first person to profit off of rubes. That's one of the greatest and oldest trades around.

Is this an online store or one that's close to you? If it's online, I could see the purpose of this thread if you let everyone know which one it was so they could get in on it.

But now you've gone and let the cat out of the bag. Thanks, I was about to load up a truck full of neo geo cd games and drive it to the glory land of cash out tycoon success. Now everyone knows the secret to my planned fortune.

3-4 times...exagerate much. There are plenty of deals right around prices in japan. It's called looking around/patience.

Less than 26% on where, that website I just linked? Obviously that's not the only import games shop on the web, although it is one of the better ones.
Hey, I don't care if people don't know how to shop smart, it just results in cheaper collecting on my end. Go ahead and attach whatever prices you want to attach to your shit. I wouldn't expect any less from the American import gaming scene.
