Not sure where else to post this...

vvvvvv (the letter v six times) is an awesome game. It just came out for the pc recently. the reason i posted this in the Classic Gaming section is because it is just like a 2d nintendo platformer. the music is awesome, the gameplay is simple yet very challenging, and it manages to add a fresh feel/aspect to every level.

if you havent tried it out yet, i highly reccomend it.

one more thing... i dare you to try and get the the "doing things the hard way" trinket, WITH NO CHEATS. it took prolly about 45 minutes to get, but it was sooo worth it because nothing could top me jumping out of my pc chair dancing and screaming for joy around my room and scaring my cats in the process. my fiance thinks im nuts!

Since the game just came out, I am going to move this to modern gaming. Neat stuff!

It's an alright game. I beat the demo pretty quick and the challenge just wasn't there, things were a little to simplistic for my tastes.

@Happeh

The demo doesnt give the game justice.

Did you not read my reasoning for posting in the Classic Gaming Section? I feel like the audience from the Classic Gaming section will appreciate this game much more than the modern gamers...

I'm sure he did but if you look at the description of the forums the modern gaming section is for games that have come out "recently" not games that have a modern feel.

Friendly tip: try not to call out the Mod's on your 5th post, you may not make it to your 10th.

I bought this game after I read about it on kotaku. I guess I'm about 2/3rds of the way through. I really enjoy the main levels. Liked the music a lot in the demo but its got a bit boring now. The game is basically Spectrum-era graphics style, chiptune music. But the twist to the game is that it is a platformer but instead of jump you have a flip gravity button making getting past screens a bit of a puzzle as well as testing your reflexes. I like how each new proper level introduces new elements. However, I don't like the exploring bits in between "real levels". I also spent far far too long trying and failing at "veni vidi vicious". Its too hard. I should play this game more but I'm not used to using my laptop for gaming

Played through it and while I did find it fun for the most part, some of the parts felt like they were frustrating for the sake of being frustrating. It only took me about 2 hours to beat, so it was a fun little distraction, but nothing I'd go back to play again.

Yeah, and the regular, non-Steam version is still $15. The hell is up with that?

Steam is awesome. That's what's up.

I prefer to buy the game directly from the dev.

The price is now $5 at his website. No DRM, and he gets more cash.
