I picked up Network Transmission yesterday. Wow. If you like Mega Man (Battle Network or Old School) then you definatly want to grab this game. I has classic side scrolling elements. Great throw backs to the Mega Man of old (anyone remember Quick Mans stage in MM2? Well, guess what....). The Bosses are well thought out.

Now I'm sure everyone has seen the reviews saying that this game is so hard that you will throw your control across the room on your 20th time trying to beat Fire Man (first boss). Well its a load of Bullshit. I beat him on my third try. Appaerently everyone that writes for game mags are just stupid or really bad at video games. I can't even beat MM2 and I'm already to the forth boss.

And the battle chip system came over very well. Instead of putting multiple copies of a chip in you folder, you only put one. As you get more of that chip, you can use it more times through out the level. Like I now have 30 cannon shots and have it as my default chip, so I always have it. It is alot like taking the bosses powers, except there are now 137 different powers.

All around a very good well thought out game. Not to easy, not to hard, with alot of depth. If you dig side scrollers, definatly pick it up.

Yikes! Quite a sweeping generalization, don'cha think? From personal experience, I can tell you that the healthy majority of videogame journalists are neither stupid nor really bad at videogames. Do you call everyone with whose opinion you disagree "stupid"?

I've also learned from personal experience never to call any aspect of a game "too hard," because there will always be someone like you who writes in with "You totally suck, because I beat that game in four minutes and 14 seconds!" (I've yet to get any braggart-feedback from my TimeSplitters 2 guide, however, because many segments of that game aren't just too hard -- they're effing impossible.)

I've been playing this game at work for the past couple of weeks, and it is good. It is hard, imo, but I think that is mainly because I really haven't taken the time to learn how to use all the battle chips properly. It's mainly just a game to play between calls.

It is totally a side scroller, so mega man fans should check it out. It follows the battle network storyline (where mega man enters 'the net' to defeat 'viruses', so that is different, but otherwise it's mega man.

Sorry Zmeston. I didn't mean to make such a broad label. I am just shocked by how easy it is. Its not simple, but every reveiw I have read made it out as unplayably hard.
