I picked this up from a relative back when Halo 2 was in beta mode for multiplayer. The disc no longer does anything when you put it in an Xbox because the beta was shut down, but I believe there's only a couple thosand of these around and I don't think I've ever seen one for sale. Anyone have information about this?

Like most betas after they are no longer operatable, I'd say it could go for anything from $5-15. I'd be interested in it if you plan on selling it though.

$15 isn't worthless. Now if I had said it's only worth $1-3 but I'll give you $5:evil laugh:

I have to second that. These Halo 2 Beta disc are pretty common and they don't have any big value.

I don't think there is necessarily anything untoward about responding to a request for valuation and also being interested in making an offer. After all, the only people who really know the actual going rate for something are either people who have bought one or are looking to buy one and are therefore very aware of what people are paying for the same item. Everyone else generally has no clue and doesn't care.

I was mostly teasing, it just reminded me of when people were trying to buy stuff when i was younger or making the mistake of trading with people at flea markets "oh that bubble bobble 2 is worthless...i'll give you a dollar for it"

Well thanks for the info. If anyone's interested in buying it for $10, just send me a PM. :)
