I dropped by my Hollywood Video store to see if they were really closing. Among the stuff left over from the gamecrazy that closed, I found a set of the Messiah NES controllers. I also found one of the messiah wireless arcade sticks. I got both for $20. I was wondering if these controllers any good?

I was mainly wondering if their good enough to keep? I'm thinking I'll probably only keep one of them. I just wonder if I can find the wireless receiver for them. The arcade stick looks nice.

If the arcade stick is the one that's patterned after the NES Advantage stick, it's awesome. The pads are not. The directional control reminds me of a NES Max, which in and of itself wasn't great.

If you manage to find any of those receivers, please let me know. I could really use a pair myself.

My email is the same name I use here at gmail. Thanks a lot.

They are really average.

I would stick with the original pads or the dog bones.

The wireless sticks are decent though.

I'd probably really like having the arcade sticks, myself. For 20 bucks - and especially if you got wireless controllers, so you already got the receiver, making the things usable on an actual NES - those sound like a steal.

The box on the wireless controllers says that those receivers are available. They're not mentioned as being included in the box. I'm probably going to sell the controllers on amazon to pay for the arcade stick. If I can't track down a receiver, I'll just have to sell the stick as well.

Those receivers, as far as I know, were only available with the control pad/receiver "limited edition". I had contacted Messiah when they were still in business to see if I could order one and that was the line I got.

I'd stay away and enjoy the originals (NES controllers from '80s). It was nearly impossible for me to play Contra with those fuckers.

I hated the Messiah controllers.
