Has anyone here seen this collection before? I wouldn't be surprised if the owner is a member here...but this is the first time I've seen it. It's more like a Museum of Doom rather than a Room of Doom. He put up a building next to his home that houses his collection. Looks like he mostly collects video game memorabilia, rather than games. Definitely one of the coolest looking collections I've seen.

I've seen pictures of this posted by whoever owns this collection at a European arcade collecting forum. So I presume he's probably European (Unless he's one of the Americans that visits the forum like myself).

Edit - Here's the specific thread on it with many more pictures. Looks like he is an American after all and not a European.

Whoever owns this collection has my respect. The decor is spot on and gives the room a really comfy feeling. I could easily spend days locked in that room.

I've seen this before, and I don't remember if it was a video or a series of pictures, but it was documented as he was building all of this. It's like a separate house to hold all of his video games and it really is amazing.

Wow, I'd love to see the video/pictures of the process. Please do try to dig up a link if possible, ihavethatpma.

Edit: Looks like Leo_Ames beat you to it. Thanks for the link, Leo. This is pure awesomesauce.

I've been trying to find it for the last 15 minutes or so, but I'm having no luck. It shows him creating the building from the foundation up I believe, and then it slowly fills up with all of that awesomeness.

I could get lost in there for a few days.

I *STILL* love that arcade carpet!

The only way it could be more awesome is if he had Sonic themed carpet.

Scroll down to "Case Study 4".

ARGH!

I think I found it:

That was starting to get frustrating! Some of my Google searches even brought me back here.

Sweet! I have plans about building my own house in a couple of years, if I ever find a spot for it, so this is awesome and inspirational in every way.

Good God that was awesome. It's been awhile since I've seen a game collection that impressive. Granted it's mainly toys, displays, and so forth but the work and quality of that job is impressive. The project progression was equally great to see how it unraveled. Thanks for sharing this story!

I really think that guy was a forum member here. I can swear that I saw those pics of him building that thing. I also remember being in awe. Well lit glass cases like that are always an instant win.

If the carpet looks familiar, you may be thinking of Peter Hershberg's setup:
