I think Nintendo and Sega should just merge already. Maybe then we could get a good Sonic game (though Sonic 4 has piqued my interest)!

Well, that's a bit different (in my mind, anyways). The point of the Smash Bros. is to collect various game characters from a variety of different titles. Having Sonic appear was a nice tip of the hat. But having Sonic appear in a first-party Mario title feels wrong. It's like all the Sonic vs. Mario 16-bit wars never mattered. It just doesn't seem right. It's unnatural.

For being an OG Sega fan, Sonic needs to take a break from hoaring out his soul. Some crossovers are okay. This one feels out of place and a little desperate. I am sure that Mario Galaxy 2 will be an awsome game, I just think that it probably would have been just as awsome with or without Sonic in the game.

Maybe instead of Bowser kidnapping Peach, it'll be Sonic. It would be the most epic battle with an animal he's had since Donkey Kong.

I'm not interested in this. Sega Dreamcast games being ported to any of the current gen consoles though. Yes. If it happens on a console I don't own, I'll buy it.
Phantasy Star Online Portable or Phantasy Star Online Collection in 720/1080p on PS360 please.
You know what else. Mario used to get power ups and they increased how long he could stay alive. Now Mario uses coins just like Sonic. They're not really that far apart anymore. One thing is for certain. Their 2d incarnations are far better, however Sonic has atleast had one or two good 3d incarnations(Sonic 3d Blast and Sonic Adventure.)

In fact, I'd say the use of rings in Sonic is a unique approach neatly adapted to the style of the Sonic games - or at least it used to be, anyway.
