Least invasive PAL 7800 video mod?

Alright guys,

I am looking to modify my newly purchased Atari 7800. It's a PAL model and I am looking to modify it to composite video and just use a mono sound ouput. Obviously I may have to modify the outer case, but I'm looking to be the least invasive as possible. Since on the back on my 7800 there is no difficulty switch (but there is a hole for one) I was thinking of putting one of the ports there and I was thinking of removing the RF so I could put the other port there. Does anyone know of a guide that I could use to get this sort of result?

Both of your ideas are workable. Have you looked at the SCART PAL 7800 to see how it is set up?

No I haven't, infact I didn't even know there was a SCART based system - must have been a European version right? I am definately new to this console modding lark. So I am going to need some pretty serious help from you guys, sources of info etc. If you could point me in the right direct that wouldbe top! :)

Yes, I think it was originally sold in France. They show up on ebay from time to time. The RGB picture is awesome though. 8-)
