N64 Wireless controllers question..

I just got a boxed pair of N64 DOCS wireless controllers "Quake & Shake" (containing 2X controllers and 1 receiver) They are in like new condition...The outer box claims that they suppose to have a manual inside, but these didn't have it...

Now, the controllers work ok, but I just can't enable the rumble funtion (took them apart, and they do have rumble motors)...I noticed that there is a phone plug type of connector in one side of the receiver, but don't know what it is for...Does anyone has a set like these or any info that can possibly shed some light?...

Well, I took the controllers receiver apart, and my instinct was right, that strange connector is for the rumble funtion...I rewired a infrared LED to that port, and sure enough, got rumble compatibility..Very awkward how they did that, I guess the whole package comes with a infrared cable as well...Problem solved and thanks anyway.
