This is just a feeler, so bear with me. Anyone want to take a stab at the potential value of a genuine Milton Bradley Microvision II prototype handheld unit? This is the one and only sample ever made, and it actually works! Yup... it plays all the original games but the device is restyled and looks far cooler than the beige and brown original.
For those who don't know what Microvision is/was, you can google it, but in a nutshell it was introduced in 1979 as a handheld LCD system that used interchangeable cartridges. You might say it was the Father of the GameBoy, and had Milton Bradley followed through and marketed the next generations of Microvision... they could have owned the portable gaming business by now. Nintendo's Gameboy was a wonderful device... but it was developed and introduced in 1989... ten years later.
So... how about some ideas. What's it worth to a real electronic game collector, and what might be the best venue to sell it?

Not gonna be as much as if it were a totally different unit, i.e. different media, but... THIRDED! Pics, stat!

Sorry for the iPhone pix, but if anyone needs razor sharp stuff and is serious about this piece, I could do that. Overall, it's just slightly larger, has more of a tech-look with simulated heat sink fins on the ends, a slightly textured black finish, larger diameter bezel and knob, metallic material used as highlights, and black philips screws countersunk into the housing. Missing is the battery cover on the back, but that may turn up. I should note that this is probably circa 1982-ish (?) so don't expect it to look spiffy, even if it does look pretty damn good.

Yes... compared to the rather bland looking original it is (or would have been) a giant step forward in aesthetics. So where do I advertise such a unit, and what is it worth being one of a kind that was never released?
Portnoyd... That is one awesome collection. I have some interesting Nintendo memorabilia even like pictures shot at a Nintendo CES Private Party to something simple like a brand-new Nintendo Powerfest baseball cap, and then there's a bunch of Nintendo enameled pins, and Nintendo execs business cards. Where do you sell that kind of stuff?

To me!
I think I bought some stuff from you before. I think I may have bought a NOA financial report from you (and I honestly have no idea where it is).
Seriously, send me a PM with what you have. I love this kinda stuff.

Neat pix. And you have one of the new style games... Any others?
As to where to advertise it... Try here, and/or eBay. I think those are about the best options, though there are also AtariAge, and alternate auction sites like GameGavel/ChaseTheChuckwagon.

You could also advertise it on GameSniped.

I recommend gamesniped/ebay. I wish you luck with your sale.
