Should I be disturbed with the disproportionate number of DS games that have sexual references in their titles? Touched, Sprung, Touch & Go, Contact, Feel the Magic...I know it's par for the course on DS, but Sprung is such a horrible idea for a game.

Impressive on the CIB DS and GBA games, hopefully non-pirates. Nice to see a hometown collector with an awesome collection. Do you have an updated number for unique RPGs in your collection?

I bought most of my GBA games new on clearance or used from Gamestop when I worked there many moons ago. I refuse to buy any off eBay because of bootlegs. I got burned once with a copy of Bubble Bobble: New & Old. Now I just trade with people I trust, or else they ship first.

Cornellius: I have trade bait mixed in, I'll gladly trade DW3 towards something I need.

Blitzwing: I love Ultima: Exodus, but I've had a bitch of a time piecing together a copy in good condition. Still not satisfied with the two I have. :/

How do you play your games? IE on what kind of monitor/TV, or how do you hook up all those systems etc.

Nice collection, neatly kept up, alphabetized, stacked oh so perfectly, things like this make me continue to push forward for more games. Granted I don't have nearly the boxed copy of games you have (mine are mostly loose, save for the CD games, close to 700 games now, though 15 are VC games, but I count them anyway for some odd reason). SMS is the system I have the least amount of games on, only beaten by PCE CD (9 SMS vs 3 PCE CD). But I love seeing folks take pictures of their collections, this sheds light on me that even I can sometimes get lucky and find some super games on my gaming ventures

Well 6 actually, below those 3 is a clear jewelcase with a hu card barely visable. That's Neutopia, and down by the genny games are sealed copies of Exile & Cosmic Fantasy 3. but yeah, I need a system to play them on before I crack down on collecting for it.

Jcalder: I'm afraid there's not much more to show, that bookcase is in my living room. I don't have a gameroom persay.

Arasoi: I have two gaming setups a 30in or so HD tv in the bedroom and a 56 in HD in the living room. Current gen stays hooked up to the big screen and classic gen sits on a display tower with the cords baggied in a closet.

I said minus, Arkhan. I have no Genesis games(other than Bloodlines,) no Master System games, no Sega Saturn games, a few N64 games and no system, three Sega CD games(Lunar, Lunar 2, and Dark Wizard,) a little bit more than half of her GBA games, and not as many complete NES games as she, a little over half incomplete than she has. I have more complete SNES games, but not as many SNES games as she has altogether :P.

It's a very nice collection. I can atleast say I have more PSX, PS2, PSP, PS3, and as many DS games though. If there's a portion of that collection I'd love to have though, it'd be the Genesis games. I've never owned a Genesis but like a lot of the games.

I find old cassette tape racks to be perfect for famicom/genesis/sms/mkIII/MSX storage. You can wall mount some of them too for better space management.

I stack my loose carts in a lunchbox. I'm using just a genaric anime one right now but I'd like to find a cool retro Zelda one instead. But yeah a lunchbox can hold a ton and is quite portable. Then I just stack the empty boxes on the game shelf.

I have so many and such little space I am moving between the garage and my 1 room. We don't have a basement. But I dream one day I will have that big room that I can put everything out even my arcade machine.

One trouble I am finding annoying I need some advice on how to store loose gba gb games I currently have a ziplock freezer bag. What are some other cool ways to store them?

On another note even with all my games I remember 95% of where they purchased.

Somewhere at some time here I saw where someone had some trays that held GB carts pretty well. Might have been some sort of baseball card thing, but I thought it was a hard grey plastic thing.

hmmm, I see now you said GBA, not GB, so I'm at a loss for that. I have mine in a couple of those black original gameboy carrying cases w/ Game Boy embroidered on the front. They fit well-enough considering, but you can't really alphabetize or anything.

For the most part. SNES games don't need to be CIB, neither do Gamegear (although I wouldn't mind upgrading), or Gameboy (although it's prefered).

A lot of the games on my list I just haven't gotten yet. I'm also very picky about condition, and if the game honestly sucks I'm not going to want to pay much for it. Not owning the system to play a particular game on is a huge deterrent as well.

I notice you have a few games in your list that are borderline RPGs, such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance. What are your "requirements" for it being considered an RPG? Does it just need RPG elements (for instance Castlevania II or a newer game like Borderlands) or is there something more?

Also, how many of these have you actually beaten/played extensively? :D

Just curious, I sort of have an RPG collection that grows steadily as I collect...I'm up to like 50. :D

Just haven't gotten them yet. Battle of Olympus I want to find CIB in excellent condition. Keep in mind I'm not constantly buying games either. I try to find what I can in the wild, or through trading. I really only buy when I find a great deal.

Raptor: I don't always play games to completion, but I've certainly played more games in my collection than not. I wouldn't collect if I didn't enjoy the genre. Right now I'm playing Ar Tonelico, and the last game I beat was Rise of the Argonauts.

Oh, no doubt. I was only wondering because the average RPG is a 30-40 hour playthrough. And an FPS, say, is on average a 5-10 hour playthrough.


Right now I'm playing Ar Tonelico, and the last game I beat was Rise of the Argonauts.

And not that you asked but right now I'm playing Rogue Galaxy and Demon's Souls (which is awesome and you should get it).
