I just posted this item on eBay and I wanted to alert any Vectrex collectors here that its out there. Believe it or not, this unit is New... Never Used. That's right, I've had it since it came out and it's been stored, along with my genuine Vectrex Light Pen and a dozen or so games. Everythings been in dry storage and while the box is old and stiff... it's not ripped or beat up. The foam insert is inside and in the auction I'm including both 3D Mine Storm and 3D Crazy Coaster. I have a game room with real arcade pieces (we've discussed those before) and I only kept the basic Vectrex out because bing, bang, boom... you're playing and there's no setup. Anyway, here's the link:

I will be selling the Light Pen which comes with the pen, the drawing cartridge, and the instructions. I can't seem to find the box on that one... yet. The resevere on the 3D unit is well under the BIN price.

Not to be a jerk, but this is not NIB. This might be near mint or unused by you, but this is not a true new in the box imager. There is supposed to be a plastic bag wrapped around the cord on new 3D imagers and plastic sheeting on the surfaces of the imager itself.

Are they really going for $1,200 now? Wow, they were like $400 a year ago.

Well, I guess it's a matter of semantics. I can swear on my children that; (a) I've owned this piece since it left the warehouse and was given to me by the factory QC people, and (B), I've never used it. I'm a big fan of the basic Vectrex and it's built-in game. I can honestly say I've never played most of the games that came with my Vectrex. I think I played Star Castle a few times (arcade favorite). But the fact that its missing a poly bag over the colied cord or a poly bag over the cart... ehhhh, I think it's more important to the collector that the original box is in great shape, the original foam insert, it's never been on anyone's (in my house) head LOL, and it's not a beat to crap example. Its really PRISTINE and that's most important.

But I understand your comment. And the reserve is nowhere near $1200 as stated in the auction. Heck... I have a Vectrex Prototype Cart (REAL) of the Spinball-Pinball and What's that worth? Been told around $250? Offers? And I have only ever sold REAL prototypes not wannabees.
