ZOMG I hope so. I feel like running around in circles screaming in glee. Demon's Souls is my favorite game of all time bar none!

A second Demon's Souls would be good. Story wise it makes no sense unless the main character took the dark path and joined with the old one.
Anyways. Didn't Sony pay for production of the game so they own the rights to the name? I'd assume we won't see Demon's Souls on another system.

They have some sort of first refusal deal so it will most likely only be on PS3. Some people are saying its too soon for a sequel but they will have had over a year. Nobody wants major gameplay changes so its basically just new level design and tweaks.

The thing that would really make it fly off the shelves and wouldn't make it seem too soon is more flexibility in joining up with other players.
I think the system they have works great, but an easier way to team up with friends would be very nice. Course they would have to make the game even more hard, heh.

hmm... I'm a little skeptical about this myself. I absolutely love the first Demons Souls (it's easily the best game that's come out in the last 5 years), and yet the prospect of a sequel so soon after the first one seems somewhat... unsettling.
On the one hand, if From Software develop it and make it a meaningful and worthy successor to the first one, I'll be the first to pick it up and celebrate. But I guess I'm just afraid that Sony might pump out a sequel for all the wrong reasons, and end up somehow ruining the uniqueness of the first one...
Either way, this will definitely be a day 1 purchase for me.
