If you have a date with a random Blue Phantom this Valentine's Day weekend in Demon's Souls, a Kotaku game of the year contender, make sure you're up to speed with what's happening in the game during the holiday.

Last week, Atlus asked players to decide whether the normally red and pink holiday should be the subject of a Black World or White World Tendency, which alters the game's difficulty, drops and offers special appearance by certain demons and non-player characters. Fans voted and chose.... both.

It was a close enough race for Atlus to shift the world to both White and Black over the course of the coming week. Starting today, North American servers go white. Then, on Tuesday, they go black for the rest of the week.

Should be a good time for everyone who's not Tower Knight or Flamelurker in my new game plus.

This is nice. I wanted to start a new game with a female character. I should be able to get everything from white tendency within two days and then go back and pick everything up black.

Yeah. That's nice. Once again the black tendency holiday portion has absolutely no effect. AGAIN. White tendency was nice because I get everything available, but yeah, black tendency has no effect.

When i heard about this event i was ready to play ds with a new character.Still i'm afraid i'll have to miss out on it my (PS3 60GB) has broken down....

Currently i'm getting ready to send the PS3 to sony for repairs.

Good luck with that, let us know how it goes (maybe make another thread), i've heard that Sony tends to botch repairs a bit, so yeah make a topic and let us know. Personally I fixed my own 60 GB instead of sending it in.

Did pure black work for anyone? It didn't for me. So looks like I'll have to keep this character on new game until I get the additional rares. It won't be hard for pure black. Just kill yourself, kill off someone in Tower of Latria, repeat.

I hate Atlus' pure black events. They've never worked for me.

NP then i would have it repaired locally but there are no places here that do so.

I've sent the 60GB out to sony this past friday.

Sony has stated 10 to 14 days for a fix.

Standard fee is $149.00 for any model that needs repair.

Now they offer me a trade in for a slim but i just wanted my 60GB fixed.

Since the (60GB) is used and no longer in warranty i was willing to pay for the fix.

Btw,sounds like i wasn't missing much on the ds event then afther i finsh the game 5 times all ready i was burned out on the game.
