I think he's trying to cash in one that one NES that sold for 13k. He must not realize that it was not the NES that was worth that much.

:above me: Yeah, go ahead man, pull the other one now. He could have intended $125.00 and forgot the decimal? Otherwise, IDK.

To me, an NES still isn't worth $125. Might be worth $25 to $80 to me, but it always depends on weathering, yellowing, freshness, CIB, etc.
Still...

Loose copy of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt with coffee staining on label and teething marks from 2003 sells for $15500. ROFL

I blame that Yahoo article that had the headline and description as the system itself selling for that much. It wasn't till near the end in the actual article that it says it was just for Stadium events.

I wonder if we could profit off of these idiots by putting NES's up for $500, then they think they are getting a good deal and can sell them for thousands.

To top it off, shipping is $23.

To be fair he does list the condition as 'brand new' (whether or not it is, like, is up to debate) so the top end of your estimate isn't too unrealistic. Does start an alarming precedent though and the only people to profit from it will be- you guessed it- ebay themselves.

From the picture, it's obviously used condition. It may be next to new (excellent-used), but it's not actually "NEW" (read: unused).

Oh Man,
I have a NES with the box and a complete Blades of Steel. I going to put it up and laugh all the way to the bank.
What a idiot.

Hmm, perhaps if there are morons willing to put up auctions at these kind of prices, there are morons out there who will buy them... Just a thought.

Nevermind the idiot listing this on Ebay...That Nes game that sold for 13 grand is still ridiculous. I wonder if the owner of it knew it was worth that much and listed his NES package at 10k starting or if it just got bidded that high.

The seller had no idea, it was started out at a .99 cent auction and was bid up that high. There is a thread on NintendoAge where the seller was posting and getting help about the game from the NA members.

no, he didn't forget the decimal. here's his reply on why it's so high.
"For your information, it was open once to check to see if it worked. It is still new and your a disgrace for making a statement you do not know what your are talking about. If someone can sell there's for 13k there is nothing wrong on me trying. So please do not leave any more comments thank you."

This guy (the seller) is confused.
Let him be. He will eventually realise that his listing is different than that of the $13K Stadium Events.

If anyone has spare systems, just offer to sell them to this guy for a low price of $200 each or $500 for each complete one. If he thinks they're worth thousands he should jump at the offer.
