I just received Super Mario RPG off of Ebay, and when I looked it over I noticed that the cartridge contacts have a green color to them. It's not the metal parts, as those look clean, but the board which they sit on. I have never seen contacts this color and was wondering if this is normal or if there is something wrong with the cartridge? I was also wondering if Super Mario RPG has the FX chip? Thanks

I've seen plenty of boards over the years, including on SuperNes cartridges, that had a greenish tint to them. It's not the sign of a problem.

yea, the green tint is nothing to worry about. as for the FX chip, I don't remember mine having it and it seems like they would put the "super fx" logo on the label.

is this what the board looks like?

Super Mario RPG utilized the SA-1 chip, not a Super FX chip.

I know this is pretty much a waste of a post, but I can confirm it is the board. I just looked at my copy of Super Mario RPG and saw it had a greenish tint on the pins.
