Ok, last night I beat Wardner, and I realised that despite how simple and sometimes overly difficult (Last boss) it can be, I really like this game. now, I'm gonna list a number of Genesis games I like, and you make reccomendations for other Genesis games I might also like.
I like:
Ghouls'N Ghosts
Wardner
Space Harrier 2
Paperboy
ToeJam & Earl
Sonic
Decap attack
Reccommend me some Genesis games (mostly looking for platformers, but any game's ok)

There is a 3-page thread of recommendations here, sir:
http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9162&highlight=genesis+gems
And the Roundtable Top 50 discussion:

Hope this helps.
Heh, I was going to recommand RKA too, since it's a good platformer and you seem to appreciate furry things.
In no order:
Phelios - Well-done mythologically-themed shooter from Namco
Burning Force - 3D Space Harrier-ish shooter, but better IMO. Also Namco.
Shinobi III - Play Revenge first. This is good too, though.
Gunstar Heroes - The all-time classic. Superb.
Ranger-X - Somewhat quirky, but still a fun and pretty platform / shooter.
Thunderforce III - Top-quality horizontal shooter. Best in series, IMO.

All four of the Sonic the Hedgehogs are excellent, with great visuals, music and platforming gameplay. The later ones feel a bit different than the early ones, though, but are still good.
Rocket Knight Adventures is a very nice platformer. Earthworm Jim is a masterpiece. You want a really strange and wonderful platformer? Find Dynamite Headdy. Ristar is a sweet platformer too with a cute theme but a real SOJ "Sonic Team" feel to it IMO.
Comix Zone is also excellent IMHO. I love the game. Revenge of Shinobi is good while a bit dated visually; Shinobi 3 is great too. If you want a thematic, film-like platformer, you must play Flashback.

1. Gunstar Heroes- Nothing can describe this masterpeice.
2. Contra Hard Corps- Excellent game, one of the best Contra's
3. Altered Beast- Classic (RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!!) LOL
4. Sonic the Hedgehog- 1,2,3- Need I say more?

Dynamite Headdy was a Treasure game. I wholly recommend that alongside Gunstar Heores.
I'll also toss out a recommendation for Herzog Zwei. Even if you don't really dig strategy type games, this one is still excellent.

I would recommend Kid Chameleon.
I think it might be one of the most underrated games in video game history.

I highly recommend some of the EA early RPGish action... Might & Magic, King's Bounty, Star Flight, and Buck Rogers.
I also recommend XGranadaX. Fun game.
I'll suggest more when I'm not at work and have my games by me. ;)

Most of the suggestions I would have made have already been made, but I don't see two of my all time favorites recommended yet:
Mystic Defender - One of the best action games on the Genesis. Mix G'NG type action w/ an R-Type power meter and several different types of magic powers. The sequel to the SMS game Spellcaster (minus the RPG segments), and known in Japan as Kujaku Ou 2.
Valis III - A damn fine port of the classic Turbo CD game. It loses one cinema, a couple of levels and the great CD music in the translation - but that's all it loses. It's very reminiscent of Castlevania III, mainly in level design and the ability to switch between three characters (once you find the other two, of course).
Let's not forget Splatterhouse 2 and 3 as well.

If there's one thing I've learned from these boards, it's that even if you think a game is utterly awful, there's at least one person out there who likes it. Wardner? Gosh.
Let's see . . . no one has yet mentioned these two:
El Viento: a unique little platformer set in the 1920's, of all periods.
Alisia Dragoon: an inventive action game with a techno-fantasy style similar too (and better than) Wardner's.
And even though you didn't list any 2-D action/shooters among the games you like, I'd recommend Gunstar Heroes and Contra Hard Corps on general principle.

You know, that guy shows up in the strangest places. I think he's in the manual for the Japanese version of Ghouls'n Ghosts or Gunstar Heroes (can't remember which).
Ah, nobody mentioned Chaffan? :D Stay away from Chakan...
What about Phantasy Star 2 and 4? I don't know about 3, heard it's the weakest of the series though.
I'd say try Revenge of Shinobi before Shinobi 3/Super Shinobi 2, because you probably won't be able to stand RoS with its crappy sprites after the greatness of Shinobi 3. I'd also say try Shadow Dancer in there; some people (not me) like it more than Shinobi 3. It's closer to the gameplay style of the original arcade Shinobi than Shinobi 3; can't say it felt too much like the arcade Shadow Dancer though. Maybe, before THAT, you should play Shadow Dancer and Shinobi on the Master System, and before you play any other game, you could try Cyber Shinobi...heh
Contra The Hard Corps I would recommend only if you'd like to track down the expensive Japanese version. I got a perfect copy, but it doesn't work in a Sega Nomad, just shows the Konami logo (and getting it out scared the hell outta me). The Japanese version gives you 3 hits per life and an infinitely better package. I like this one more than Contra 3, though C3's a classic.

Yeah, he shows up in a nightclub in Snatcher too, doesn't he? As well known as he may be here at the Digital Press forums I always pegged the Rocket Knight as an obscure, under-appreciated character. The way you used the jetpack was certainly novel.

It's Euro/Jap only, but I'm sure you'd love Super Fantasy Zone.
The PAL version is pretty cheap, and has no problems running on a Genesis.
And no list of Genesis/MD recommendations is complete without Flicky.

Haunting: Starring Paulterguy- a very original game where you're a ghost and have to scare a family out of various houses. It's very fun, though a bit short.
