This is not a "what I want to buy this summer", but more like "What I want to play this summer". Summer vacations for us who still go to school and *hopefully* those two week vacations for the working class on the board. Since the out doors and sunshine is the arch enemy of nerds, gamers, and games in general, I'm sure you'll be found indoors playing games. :P What do you want to play/get through this summer?
So far, I've picked back up Final Fantasy VIII & X from the beginning and beat them already. Now I plan on doing IX next and I-VI after that. I want to play more Atari & Intellivision this summer, since I've never really put more than a few minutes in any game for either system. Then, if I have time come August, I'd like to finally crack into Shenmue II for DC.
Next?

This summer I'd like to:
1) Achieve competence with at least one character in each of Darkstalkers, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Virtua Fighter 4. Hell, maybe Sour Calibur, too.
2) One-credit Galactic Attack, Gradius, and Giga Wing
3) Complete Steel Battalion in Armageddon mode.
4) Finish off Driver 2
I work full-time, though, and the week of vacation I'm taking will be spent visiting relatives, so I may not accomplish any of this. I haven't finished a game since G-Police a couple months ago.

I've got a backlog tat's about seven years long, thanks to my "college career". I plan to use the summer to formally beat any outstanding RPGs in the queue. The catch is that for every new game I have to beat, I have to load up an old game and beat that as well.
The first games in the queue are Xenosaga and Phantasy Star 2. :D

My goal this summer is modest: Finish Zelda: Links Awakening.
And, of course, have fun at CGE Y2K3!

I plan to finally finish Zelda for the cube. I started playing this when I first got it every time I had. But I stopped playing for some reason. I want to get back into playing but there is so many games out there that I need to buy I have no time to play games :D

I want to get through more of the games I already have, and beat the new ones I get at CGE this year. I just want to get through Eternal Darkness in the next week or so and beat Golden Sun (or at least get further, I suck so badly at that game!).

I would like to beat SOMETHING... ANYTHING instead of just playing NHL 96 all the time.

I don't feel like I've got a "summer" these days, so my plan is the same as always: try to beat a huge backlog of games and then sell off as many as my collecting conscience will let me.

To finally play the XBOX that I've had for over 8 months.
I stare at Halo and Splinter Cell every time I walk by them, thinking...
MAN I WANT TO FIRE THEM UP!! O_O

Gaming goals for the summer...
None. No more collecting. Playing when time permits. I'm saving my money to go to the Expo. Period.
Unless BATTLE QIX (PS1 import) shows up eBay. But that, and nothing more.
Now, writing/research-wise, where my site is concerned...be ready for a trip back into the 70s...straight back to the big bang of bits.
And, of course, I'll continue working - slowly but surely - toward keeping the PDF:TV project from becoming video vaporware. :-D

Since I've just recently gotten back into video games within the past 6 months, my collection is still fairly small. Therefore, one of my gaming goals for the summer is to get a job so that I can start expanding my collection. I also want to try to finish some of the games that I already own and have started playing (ie. Splinter Cell, Jet Set Radio Future, Breath Of Fire)
