I was looking at preording Sakura Wars for PS2 within Canada. I noticed Amazon.ca has it up, and I'm always up for free shipping. I remember Amazon.ca being weird about games before though - either not stocking things, or not getting in supplies in a timely manner/at all. Are they more reliable these days?

They are reliable, but they won't ship it to you within the same day. You will probably get it a week later. That's what happens to me when I preorder Bioshock 2. You can order the same thing from Gamestop.ca and they ship it on the day it was released and you get it on the same day.

I didn't even know there was a Gamestop.ca now! Thanks for the tip. They have Sakura Wars for $5 less, and they have free shipping too.

Rosenqueen.com has a limited edition version with hardcover artbook!

I would say Amazon.ca is good for ordering games. I would only do it if the shipping is free though.

Thanks, Duffman.

Frum, I know it has one, but with shipping from the States and the extra cost it'd end up being close to $20 more than what I'm paying at Gamestop.ca. Given that I don't care about the game's art much, I don't think that's worth it for me.

I've order both from Amazon.ca & Gamestop.ca. So far I find Gamestop.ca ship faster than Amazon.ca. Giving the fact that both gives you free shipping. So if you want faster shipping, use Gamestop.ca. If you don't care about the shipping time, Amazon.ca is good as well. Note that sometimes Amazon.ca will delay your game for couple of days. It happens to me with Bioshock 2.

It takes longer with the free shipping option. If you want amazon.ca to ship faster you gotta pay.

Noooooooo. Nononononono. No.

Amazon is AWESOME for buying already released games and having it shipped to you post haste. Preordering is a completely different beast. I've attempted to preorder from Amazon on four different occassions and each and every time I've had to cancel my preorder because they ran out of stock and were backordered.

IIRC, when I preordered Zack and Wiki the estimate time of shipment was a month after the game's release.

I'd just preorder at EB.
