I found a guy who are selling Contra Force and Adventure Island 3. I know both of these are hard to find. I had offered $50 for both but that guy want $65 for both of those. Is this a reasonable price? They are both lose cartridge.

I recently sold Adventure Island CIB for $40 shipped. I'd say $65 was a bit high, yeah.

MAX price for loose carts would be around $45. Anything over that is ludicrous.

Thanks! I kinda knew his asking price was too high. He assumed that he can get more out of it through eBay.

MAX price for loose carts would be around $45. Anything over that is ludicrous. The cheapest copy of Contra Force on eBay is $44 BIN including shipping (http://cgi.ebay.com/NINTENDO-NES-GAME-CONTRA-FORCE-USED_W0QQitemZ230440145740QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Vi ntage_Video_Games?hash=item35a74d934c) and there are no auctions

The cheapest Adventure Island 3 is $23 BIN including shipping (http://cgi.ebay.com/ADVENTURE-ISLAND-3-III-RARE-NES-Nintendo-Classic_W0QQitemZ390159794142QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVi deo_Games_Games?hash=item5ad755ffde). There is one open auction for $9.99 but it still has 7 days left.

You are saving $3 if you buy from him instead of eBay and get to see the items before you buy. Seems reasonable to me if you really want them.

@ OP: I wouldn't spend that much for loose carts. I know the games are more in demand than rare, I would wait until I came across copies much cheaper than that.

Here's someone selling Contra Force for $35, and they have Adventure Island 3 listed with no price. I know it's a craigslist ad so it sucks if you're not local, but it just shows you that cheaper copies are out there.

Or check out this ad which works out to less than $3 per game, Contra Force is listed as well as several other in demand titles. You could easily keep a few games and sell off the rest to break even. If it was local to me I would buy the lot myself.

Contra Force was going for $25~30 very recently. I know b/c I had a copy I wanted to sell. And I mean on Amazon (the overpriced capital) it was going for that. I wouldn't put it's value above, at most, $35. If you check completed listings on Ebay they pretty much all ended from $26~35.

I'd say your offer was fair/more then fair good luck to this seller getting $65 after fees selling online let alone $50 not to mention the effort involved with selling online.

I wouldn't be surprised if the seller was on Craigslist. S/he probably has them listed at $35 apiece (at least) if purchased separately. Basically $5 less than what a rip-off game store would charge, plus no tax. That's my guess, anyway.
