Someone on another forum I visit was trying to figure out the name of an obscure sounding game from the early 90's. I wasn't able to figure out what game it was, so I thought it best to ask here on DP. Here's his post:

"Hello there, now that we have a section devoted entirely to technology and gaming I thought it would be fitting to ask a question that hopefully one of you might know. Many years ago (around the early 90's I think) I played a game in our computer lab at school. The game was a lot like the game 'Snake', however through some research I have learned that this is not the name of it. The game itself was very simple and basically was composed of a square outlined in white. The user started the game in the center of the square, where a small dot would constantly grow into a larger and larger line. By constantly stacking the lines on top of one another by using the up, down, left, and right keypad, the point was not to cross the lines; eventually forcing the gamer to fill the square. I have spent the last few years trying to find the name of this 'oldschool' game and have yet to do so. Please help"

I'm not sure I get your description. Is it anything like Qix (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM7lMcWb8ho)?

Well, the description was written by someone else, not me. I thought of Qix too, but he said that's not it. Perhaps it's some obscure piece of shareware.

Yeah, It could be anything.

Nibbles(came with QBasic) was the first thing that popped in my head since it was in a computer lab but the description doesn't match that either.

Nibbles came to mind for me as well, but it doesn't match the description.
