I have no idea what it is.
the store I bought them from swore they were real phones, just look at the box.
I doubt its a store demo, they tend to be cheap, and I doubt demo units come in such an elaborate box.
I would not call it a toy, it is too nice to be a toy. I would say its a collectors item, kinda like Mcfarlen figures - not really toys, but kick ass to own...
