This has probably been brought up before, but I noticed the Atari Club had an office or something in Clifton (home of the DP 'brick and mortar')...

Joe...any clue what's located there now?
I assume this was probably an Atari service center as well?
Quick, see if they have any Quadruns left! :p

What time period was this in? This kind of thing interests me, since the Midwest regional Atari service center used to be in Arlington, Texas, just down the street from Six Flags Mall. I drove past it as a kid on many, many occasions. It turned into an office furniture store once Atari left it after the video game crash. I've often wanted to sneak into the place one night, maybe rip open a few wall cavities or poke around inside the ceiling tile and maybe I'd come across a hidden cache of Atari 2600 games. It's a goofy little fantasy.

That should be the street view of the location.

I had similar thoughts after I once picked up this 4-switch 2600 from a thrift which had a sticker on the bottom for a local Atari service center, now long defunct. The address in question is now occupied by a barber shop. But I thought maybe one day if I looked through local business or Chamber of Commerce records I might be able to find the name of the owners of the service center, look them up in the phone book, and then go awkwardly knock on their door one day asking if they had any boxes of stuff (testing stands, kiosk parts) still stashed in the garage or something.
I've clearly been in this hobby too long for my own good :embarrassed:

That site in Clifton is just a typical Warehouse distribution center location. The "club" was probably just in a small part of it, and may not have been open to the public. Wasn't one of the two service centers in Clifton though...
