My friend is trying to remember the name of PC game she used to play when she was 10. She was 10 in 1997 I think. But the game could've been made anytime before that.

She only remembers that it was a puzzle game where you moved your character (who was green) across a 2-D puzzle (the background was possibly black) and you have to move things out of the way and such to solve puzzles while avoiding touching some things. She said she distinctly remembers that one of the things you had to avoid was red and it swirled around constantly and got bigger and smaller.

I know this describes a million puzzle games...but I just wanted to see if anyone thought they could remember. Or possibly link me to some pictures that I can show her of different games? Thanks.

Chip's Challenge? A classic, that one.

Turns out it isn't Chip's Challenge.

She said that the graphics were way better than the screenshots we found of Chip's Challenge. She thinks the game probably came out in like 95. Or at least was playable on Windows 95. Because they never had any computers besides Windows based ones.

She also told me a little bit more about the game. Apparently your character was actually a green die-shaped object (shaped liked a 20-sided die). And you rolled it through the level trying to avoid obstacles. The only obstacles she remembers however were the aforementioned red ones. They would move back and forth in many directions and extend and retract spikes.

Any other ideas?

This is a complete shot in the dark, but is it Icebreaker?

Well, Icebreaker was all about pyramids.

She said that the graphics were way better than the screenshots we found of Chip's Challenge. There were several different versions of it, actually - but none of them look substantially better than the others.
