Question about AC adaptor received for PC-Engine

I just got a PC-Engine and noticed something about the AC adapter. The console shows that it wants a DC 9V with positive outside and negative inside the connector. The adapter I got is AC 9V with positive INSIDE and negative OUTSIDE.

I don't want to plug this in yet, as that doesn't sound right to me. Any input would be appreciated!

Unless you like the smell of burning electronics and want to buy another PC engine; I'd use a different 9V adapter

SWEET!!! I love when my consoles burst in to flames! I'll go plug it in right now!!!! :evil:

I just called the guy I got it from and he's getting me a new adapter. I'll take a close look at it before using!
