What's on tap to debut at this CGE? I'm trying to figure out if I need someone to 'hook me up'.

Hey Chuckie!

This is not directed at you personally, so don't take offense. YOu just happen to be the person who first used the "winning phrase" this year. :D

THE PHRASE "(fill in whatever convention) EXCLUSIVE" IS HEREBY DECLARED DEAD.

These "exclusives" are always released to the public either after the show or even during it on some on-line store. I went off over at AA when someone mentioned "exclusives" in connect with their upcoming meet. The word suggests that, if you don't get one there, you'll never get one! It causes eBAy profiteers to get higher bids on games that are easily purchased afterwards. It creates bad will amongst folks who can't attend, that they're missing out on "the exclusives."

Ergo, it was decided that these types of releases can be called "CGE introductory releases" or "CGE first-shows (as in this is the first that they'll be shown" or something like that.

Like I said, this is not directed at you. I went nuts on this subject last year. Just do a search. Pet peeve and all :D . To answer your question to the best of my ability, it's still just a liiiiiiiiittle early for announcements. Last year, the releases were discussed about 2 weeks before showtime. My guess is that there won't be any bean-spillage until early-mid July. I know that some of the vendors are putting finishing touches on projects, but specific details are unknown.

BUt I betcha they're in the starting gate. :D

So far the only official announcements are:

1. ColecoVision 14-in-1 Game Pack, Volume 1.

2. Entity for Atari 2600.

3. Space Invaders Collection (it won't be published by Digital Press but we should have some available for sale).

There are at least three other "TBA" that the publishers don't want to let out yet, and there may be more since I have not hooked up with oldergames.com yet, and they released 3 new CD-i titles at last year's show.

Stay tuned!
