playstation 1 bouncing screen on old 90's tv

hey guys looking for some help with this . while doing some Google searching i found a bit of info . it seems its because the vertical sync on ps1 only uses every other scan line or something like that and causes zenith tvs and those with zenith components to go wacko .

I tried to set v-force on the tv but it had no effect . i heard that sony used to install a chip to fix this issue , some one have any idea what it was ? i have also tried ps1 games on my ps2 with the same issue . all other game systems i have are fine on this tv .

buying a new tv is not an option , i don't have the cash for that . i use my xbox 360 on a pc lcd and the old school stuff goes on the tv .

I had that same problem when I had an old Zenith TV. Unfortunately my original Playstation is long gone. The PS1s that had the problem are the original first batch. The next revisions fixed the problem. For the cost of the chip, you may as well buy a small TV on craigslist or buy another PS1.

i have 2 ps1 systems . a 7501 and a 9001 . both have the same problem as well as ps1 games on my ps2 . i just bought this tv and i really can not afford to buy another .

this sucks , i mainly bought this tv for ps1 and for a bit of gamecube/n64/nes .

I have the same problem with my 19inch Sanyo that I've had for 10 years now, thankfully I have a little 19inch Philips HD set that I use as a computer monitor and plan on picking up a component cable for my PS2 to use on it.

hmm I'm not sure what to do . this tv is as close to new as a tv for 1990 i have evver seen and looks great with my older systems , and it has s-video even .i just bought it a few weeks ago for $60 .

i do have an older pc monitor that will sync on green , or did at least with my xbox v1 when i had one. is there a way to build a vga cable for the ps2 that will sync on green and still be able to play ps1 games ?

I do remember knowing someone years ago that used an old CRT PC monitor with there PS2 so that should work for you.
