Well im suprised that nobody has posted this yet.
I mean there are happy birthday mario 64 and zelda threads .
There are people that entered the contest here i hope.
Im a bit early and dates are different from state to state ...but im pretty sure that there was a march 8 entery.
For people that have lived under a rock.

Yes, that's because people have fond memories of playing these games years ago. Very few of us played the NWC at the time and honestly, while I enjoy the story behind the cartridges, the actual game doesn't resonate like the Mario/Zelda/whatever series of games.

Personally, I didn't even know about the 1990 championships until around the year 2000 when I went back and bought some of the earliest issues of Nintendo Power Magazine off Ebay, and read about it in the 1990 issues. I didn't even find out about the Nintendo World Championship carts until I first discovered this site around 2002 or 2003.
