I looked a couple of pages back and didn't see this topic yet...

Modern Warfare 2 co-creators Jason West and Vince Zampella, fired for alleged insubordination on Tuesday in a surprise move that shocked the entire industry, filed a strongly worded lawsuit with a California court today.

The filing described Activision as demonstrating "astonishing arrogance and unbridled greed," and accuses the company of terminating the pair in order to avoid paying them "substantial" royalties from last year's Modern Warfare 2 release, heralded as the biggest launch in entertainment history.

Anyone hear about this?

Activision really changed since Guitar Hero hit it big.

Now they're basically what everyone thought of EA before.

Hotshot producers/production companies or designers can have severe ego issues that make for really bad business. I'm not saying these guys did as I know nothing about them and don't really follow much of this type of news - but I've seen it before.

"Enormous patience" kinda leads me to think they've had a lot of complaints from within the company. If it came down to chopping off the head or losing the team itself due to bullshit... I'd have chopped the head too.

Yeah, I wish we could hear the full story... it would be interesting but I doubt that will be published... It's just bad PR

I know the real reason Activision did this...

Call of Duty: Van Halen will be due out this holiday season.

Nah, they were that way for years before Guitar Hero. Remember how they ruined the Tony Hawk series by relentlessly putting out new titles?

That's exactly what Activision's lawyers want you to think.

Makes about as much sense as Revolution X.
