Some guy just sold me the original Night Trap game for five dollars at a garage sale, along with a few other choice games. The question is, why was such a big stink made about that game? Even at the time, it wasn't half as violent as most games were. I mean, the game was like watching a children's horror show, like "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" or something.

I vote Lieberman has his larynx removed. Show of hands?

You're definitely right, but remember that the game came at a time when ANY violence in gaming was closely scrutinized. And this one not only had violence but also SEX!

Joe Lieberman's definition of sex: women of a the feminine persuasion with exposed knees and cleavage.

But yeah, there's really nothing in the game that would make ANY kid say WOW, I'm gonna go kill something! or WOW, so THAT'S what an exposed knee or cleavage looks like!

Except for me, that is. But I'm very easily influenced.

I still enjoy the game til this day, alot of gamers were never crazy about Night Trap but I thought it was something different and kind of clever for its time, of course this game made me go out and buy all the FMV games of the time and I'm sorry to say that most of them were ehhh, I guess being 13 years old and laughing at the men in black tights everytime they were trapped was pure bliss LOL

Yeah, the game has its moments. Upon reflection, it is one of the funniest games I've ever played, simply because of the goofy music that would play when one of those guys was on camera. And how many games had a karaoke scene? Even today, the concept for the game is pretty unique, but it does lack replay value. Still, if laughing at '80's banter is your thing, it can bring some good times.

Then there's Ground-zero Texas...

"I don't want the likes of you watchin' my back! There's a chopper in the air! You're through!" *Slug*

Pure bliss...

What systems did this game come out for and what was the first? I'm
guessing it original was for Sega CD but did it make to any others?

If I recall, Night Trap was also on 3d0, and a 32x/sega cd version was also made.

A game with Bumbling vampire ninjas falling into stupid traps...God bless you, Sega CD.
