I have to go there for training tomorrow didn't know if anyone lives around there or knew of any good stops that might have something decent so I thought I'd ask.

North of Richardson in Plano, TX there is a store called Console Game Exchange that sells everything from Atari and up. Have not been there in a while, but if you have the time you might want to check it out.

In Collin Creek Mall there's a Console Game Xchange, and there's also one in Valley View Mall (I prefer that one). There's also a small Movie Trading Company outside Collin Creek Mall. Then there's the headquarters for MTC, farther south down Central Expressway off Greenville Avenue. If you happen to really stray far northwards there's a place called FX Game Exchange in McKinney that's a bit out of your way.

If you're driving to Richardson and back, I'm assuming you'll go by I-20, in which case you might want to hit one or all of the four Movie Trading Company locations not too far off 20. Duncanville, Grand Prairie, Arlington, and Fort Worth all have stores with the Arlington and Ft. Worth ones being the best ones with the most stuff.

If you have a ton of cash then don't bother with CGX those guys are nothing but an overpriced rip off. They sell copies of zelda for snes for upwards of 40.00 with no box or book. Same thing with ultimate mortal kombat 3. 30.00 bucks there. Do I still buy stuff from there? Yes but only if I happen to run into a good deal. And if you do buy from them don't expect a box to the classic games unless you are willing to shell out 400 bucks. I'm not kidding I actually had the guy that runs one of them offer one of his boxes to me for that price when I asked how much extra and he was serious.

I advise movie trading company. Also right off of spring creek parkway in Plano there is a play n trade right as you exit east on spring creek. Definitely movie trading company.

I forgot to mention that near the Movie Trading Company in Arlington (on the edge of The Parks Mall) is a Play N' Trade, and they've got a little bit of retro stuff too. Useful if you're driving that way. And in Weatherford, not all that far off the interstate, is a game store called Game Haven. It's near the intersection of 171 (Farm to Market 51) and Bethel Road (Farm to Market Rd. 1884). It was a decent place when I visited it.

So, I hope you'll post here and let us know if you found anything! Or at least give us a comparison to the stores in Midland.

I didn't really get to spend as much time as I would have at any one place since I flew out and flew back in. I only got to spend probably 4 hours max looking around but I'll say that the Movie Trading Co. was by far the best of the three places I did get to go. Lots and lots of stuff I didn't find anything that I was after specifically but I'm sure if I had more time I would have ended up with alot of stuff I "kinda" wanted. Just wish there would have been more CIB Genny games since that's what I'm after lately along with some intrest in TG16.

CGX apparantly hires insane people to price their things. I mean 130 bucks for a beat up TG16? I knew when they didn't have prices on any of the consoles they'd be pricey but I had to ask. I saw a few boxed Genny games that weren't too bad there but nothing I had been looking for. Overall this was my least favorite purely because of pricing and the fact that the girl behind the counter was less than friendly.

I stopped in by the PNT; it was okay but not alot there so I didn't stay too long, pretty neat looking store though.

Overall this trip was much better than the trip to 3D games (the one local store that sells classic games) and their two small display cases of everything older than PSX.

Too bad you didn't drive here and back, lots of places to stop on that route. The Movie Trading Company off I-20 in Fort Worth has a shelf full of boxed Genny games. And sadly, there's not a single MTC location that has any Turbografx-16 games. The Ft. Worth one did have a few Turbo CD games once, but I snagged 'em last year. And speaking of 3D Games, there's a location in Grapevine Mills Mall. Not a lot of retro stuff, though. I did happen to find a Starpath Supercharger and a couple other Atari 2600 cartridges there pretty cheap. But it doesn't look like they've stocked any older stuff since then.
