I have a xmd-2 but it's not working well on my mark III, the image looks good as a s-video imagem but it's too dark, I can't increase contrast because image will look too gray
Anyone with same problem? My xmd-2 is fine and works nice on genesis 1 and mega drive 1

A little more info and I might be able to help you, xmd-2? I assue this is some sort of capture device/upscaler?
A few s-video mods Ive seen on master systems play up on 60hz giving a very dark image but when switched to 50hz the image goes back to normal, funnily enough if you then switch back to 60hz the image is fine. Its odd but I have seen some sms/markIII boot dark in svideo.

XMD-2 is a small box that connects to the A/V port of a Genesis 1 and converts the signal to s-video, as well as including RGB hookups.

Exactly and supposed to work fine in japanese master system, genesis 1 and japanese master system have the same av input
