Does this kit work good or are there better ways to clean my NES system?

I've used it with success. The only better way that I can think of "cleaning" it is taking it apart and replacing the contacts.
Oh, I can't remember if it says wet or dry, but I always used wet.

I suppose it works ok, if you have a fresh minty new one. The only one I ever used was old and worn out, and seemed to suck. I gave it away. You can use rubbing alcohol and a q-tip to scrub your contacts, but you run the risk of bending them back or getting them wet (depending on your concentration of alcohol).

I usually just replace the bit converter on worn out systems.
I have found that you can get a little more life if you take a toothbrush and alcohol and scrub the converter inside.
My advice spend the 6 bucks and get a new bit conerter
