I'm in need of a Turbografx-16 CD-ROM add-on drive unit. I have 2 bases for the cd drive. However both drives have stopped working.

you can replace the laser and maybe repair the lidswitch, or swap out a spindle motor. Unless the "special" gear is gone, then your cooked.

The special gear is what broke on both units. They actually fell into pieces.
