Are these just the disks sent out to magazines, etc?

I'm guessing the game cube one is ome type of video demo disk.The X-box one is quite intriguing and I really don't know what it is. Maybe a early version of the game that was sent to people to do reviews on...like EGM, IGN, websites, or other magazines.

these are both prototypes, these might have been sent out to magazines or used for other purposes, but they were never available to the public and very few exist. the gamecube proto will only play in an NR reader but the xbox can be modded to play the xbox proto if it won't play on an unmodded console. the same seller had a splinter cell gcn proto on ebay not too long ago. the gamecube one is more intriguing than the xbox one IMO. thanks for the links, i hadn't seen these yet. :)
