Apparently retro gamer magazine now has an iPhone app. It's a few bucks to download and comes with that months issue for free. Subsequent issues are a few bucks more (definately cheaper than retail by a wide margin). Has anyone tried this?
Do you think it could get a following? Personally I like having physical copes of the magazine that I can keep on my shelf.

Although I'm a subscriber and have every physical copy of Retro Gamer, I still downloaded the iPhone app to try it out. for (I think it was) $4.99, you get a digital version of the latest issue, plus the option to purchase several other individual issues in digital form.
The problem is, the digital issues are not optimized for the iPhone whatsoever, making it very difficult to read. Constant zooming in, zooming out and scrolling around is necessary just to determine if you're even reading text in sequence in many cases.
I knew not to expect the same type of experience reading RG on the iPhone over a print copy, but even still, it was a huge disappointment. On the up-side: assuming they release a version for iPad which would support the higher resolution of that screen versus the iPhone screen, it could be amazing.....
